Great to hear you connected with Jerry whilst basking in the glitter, bells, whistles & ka-ching, glad you're taking home more than you came with, that's fortuitous winnings! Have fun and Happy New Trump Year!surprise Dang! It's going to be the BIG BANG THEORY going on to TWO BROKE GIRLs, we will hear and see all the tweets that have broken new ground for communcating the absurd etc. Familiar doublespeak phrases will be far from passe..... "it's rigged, it's rigged", "bad, it's bad" & on. Oh my.......

Those were some great programs and taught great life lessons.   My mother went to school with Wonda Wonda so I knew her personally and I appeared on the JP Patches show.   Those were the days.

Zero Dakus, Mucho Crakus, Hallabalooza Bub, That's the Secret Password That We Use Down At The Club, And Zero Dackus, Mucho Crakus Hallabalooza Fan, that Means You Are A Member Of The Club With Stan, Herman, No-Mo and the Gang. Herman was his bird, Uncle Torvald, Grandma Torvald and the other members of the club. I believe there was also a character called Victor Olla a talking victrola where the slats moved when he talked but I could be wrong.

Thanks John for the memory, I loved that show.

http://www.king5.com/news/local/remembering-stan-boreson-of-kings-klubhouse/394371258

As a wee liln' was on the set with Brakeman Bill oh so dang long ago. Although, at lest the CD's of Stan Boreson bought decades ago have given laughter every year no doubt, that's living memory in his memory! .... Laughter! .... Stan's joke... "You know what the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans said to each other?" ... skip a line to find out.

Thanks All for dem good memories! "They didn't! They just waived!"  ....Laughter in your life moving forward.

cheeky

Though, not Stan's joke (there is a Lena song by title) but you get it.  .... echoes of Laughter...

Ole and Lena got married. On their honeymoon trip they were nearing Minneapolis when Ole put his hand on Lena's knee. Giggling, Lena said, "Ole, you can go a little farder now if ya vant to" so Ole drove to Duluth.....

We've lost another classmate today. Jorge Eduardo Torbenson passed away. She posted on Facebook about two weeks ago that she'd just been diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. Godspeed, Jorgene. RIP🌹

I don't know where "Eduardo" came from. Really dislike auto-correct.

Thank you Sandra. It is very sad, wish we had talked longer at our last reunion. Through the years tried to get her to come to some of the Camano jams although, couple weeks ago on her FB page I had hope that she was one of those miracles to come out from all that. RIP Jorgene. broken heart🌹

Don't know about the middle name.

I searched the archives and cropped this pic from the Sharples Sharks '65 yearbook. Oh, the irony......Jorgene is juxtaposed to Bob Temples. Never a good time to lose a classmate. Take solace in knowing they no longer suffer. May they rest in peace.

Thank you John. It was very nice of you to post our dear classmates' photos. May they rest in peace.

I too have fond memories of Jorgene. She lived about three blocks from me and as little kids we used to play together all the time. I also recall seeing her in some old b&w photos of my early 4, 5 and 6 year old birthdays. So sad.

Unfortunately we've lost another classmate. Glenn Schoenmakers had a heart attack and died. I don't know any other details. I cropped this pic from the Sharples Sharks '65 yearbook. March 30 1950 - March 9 2017. Glenn, RIP

Happy Birthday Ric O'Rivera.

Will you be having that traditional Irish 7 course meal?  A potato and a six pack.

I now restrain myself from typing anymore bad/good/improper ethnic, religious or nationality jokes.

Good news/bad news:

Good.........Wife unit returns home today.

Bad:........Leaves some time to post to the forum.

Bad:.....Just realized that we are now considered eldery according to what I read in the paper when the reporter refers to someone's age in the news story.  Whaat??  I must have missed that memo.Say it isn't so Joe.

Like Mike Johnson's post to the Forum shortly after our fortieth reunion.  Seems he was told by fellow classmates that he hadn't changed a bit since school.  He wanted to know why no one had bothered to tell him that he looked like a 60 year old man when he graduated.

Sort of reminds me of taking my aunt to her 50th year Franklin reunion about 38 years ago.  I dropped her off and noted all the "eldery" people going in.  Picked her up 3-4 hours later along with Peter Gayton's mom.  There was a whole lot of noise comming out of that joint when I went in to get her.  She and Peter's mom talked like a couple of teenagers on the ride home.  They must have missed the memo on being elderly too.

ThThThaaat's All Folks.............elderly or not

I recently took part in a volunteer event here in Toronto, most of the volunteers were women age 50-70.  A young reporter for the local paper did a very nice write-up...except he described us all as "elderly bespectacled ladies."  Caused quite the ruckus!

New information coming from Sam Amira.

All,

I was informed today from the University of Washington Athletic Department where I work part-time for football and basketball games that Roy Easton passed away. I recall he played football and was one of our best shot putter. I believe he might have been class of 1966 or 1967. I worked with him many years at UW. Great guy and fun to be around. If interested the his memorial service is Saturday, March 25th at 11AM at Olympic View Elementary school, 504 NE 95th St. Seattle, WA 98115
