RIP Carl. He was a good looking guy. What I remember about Carl was his association with Janine Guttman. Janine would volunteer that they would go out furniture shopping (the bedroom). The union didn't evolve into anything more serious.

MarleneJS: Carl would of like that your observation! Got me thinking was that when Carl RIP was trying to bake bread with too much yeast darn, then it was on to simpler tasks in Home Ec class? Don't answer, just kidding!

It's a l-o-n-g story, so I shant bore you with the details, but at long last I had a great confab with Jerry Israel. Sincere thanks to all who aided and made that happen. On my next trip to Lost Wages, I'll be "in the know", and Jerry and I will raise a glass to all Quaker 68-ers.

Ric R: That's a really cool post. Reflections At Twilight ??? Who knew ???

Many thanks to Gregory Coleman alerting us to the death of Thomas V Smith.  I so remember hanging out in the basement of his parents house and listening to Simon and Garfunkel.

Hello Everyone.  Please welcome Brenda Darlene (Burks) Dungey to our website.  She is wanting to see an annual and I have pointed her to the FHS library.  If anyone else has a solution for her, please pass it on.  Thanks.

There are several places to find annuals. The Franklin library has a collection, I think, as does the teacher who is the adviser for the annual. But it may be hard to get in over the summer. I think the Seattle Public Schools Archives has a collection and maybe even the Seattle Public Library. The the Rainier Valley Historical Society has one as well. You can check their website for hours. http://www.rainiervalleyhistory.org/

Awesome pics!  You guys all look the same -- and say hey to Charles!  Any idea what happened to Dennis Perry?  I used to see him working down at Pike Place at one of the butcher shops, but it's been years and year ago now.  He was always such a friendly guy with a big easy smile.

It seems to have gotten very quiet in here again. OK, so how about a moment of silence for one of our classmates? Let me see some hands in the air: Who remembers Larry Dahl? I remember him well; words fail me, so I'll just say a nicer guy I've never met. Look up 'gentleman' in the dictionary, you'll see his picture. Larry, like Walt Henry, lost his life on a penninsula in Southeast Asia in 1971. You'll not find his name on the memorial wall in Olympia as he was born on Oregon. Last week, I found his name on a wall at the Vietnam Memorial in Portland. I'll post more on my FaceBook page for any and all who wish to pay homage. It saddens me to think Walt and Larry never had a chance to live their lives; they died so young, so long ago. I think the least we can do is observe a moment of silence. What say ye ??? (I tried to clean up the picture, but my graphics skills are limited) RIP Larry & Walt.

When my husband and I were first married, he was stationed at the pentagon. They have a display of Medal of Honor winners. His name is there. I was proud to call him my friend.
