I remember Walt from Whitworth, Sharples, and my sophomore year. We played baseball at Lakewood Playfield. I think he was involved with amateur boxing as a sophomore. His father was very involved in Walt's activities. I found his name on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in DC. He was always a good guy and was the first person I knew to die in Vietnam.
