Hi all.  Seems I hardly ever get here, but I saw the posts about anniversaries and age.  I guess 75 doesn't feel so old to me because my husband of almost 51 years will be 87 later this year. 😁.    It was good to see many of you at the 50 year reunion, the only one I've made it to.   Blessings to all

Yep 75 seems truly old.  I'll be there in a few weeks.  But all of you with me!  That's sort of a good feeling.  I go to quite a few memorial services these days.  I'm becoming a bit of a connoisseur.  I'm in LA for one this weekend and have a chance to see old friends from when I lived here 25 yrs ago (or who knows how long).  Very nice.   I appreciate the gentle chatter of this website.  I'll try to post a new photo of me so you can see what almost 75 looks like.  Judy  yikes it's sideways!  You get to see my "baby" brother, Tommy, as well.  He biked across the US last summer (he's a mere 70) and stopped by.

Zah.

I heard a rumor that there has a rash of youngens trying to get in to senior centers with fake ID's.

Now that many of us have reached 75 and more yet to come, there is another age for us to be concerned aboput.  Believe it or not.  Social Security stops payijng out at the age of 115 years old.  Double checked that one myself but please double check that me. Like "Judge Judy" was quoted.  Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.

Tick, tick, tick.  Before we know it 115 will be here....................

Judy P. That's Tommy? Good Lord! He used to be a slightly annoying little kid.

Yep that's Tommy!  He turned out to be a very dear brother after all -- and an MD for 40 years in Seattle in charge of medical systems for the Univ of W and doing clinical work at Harborview -- and a proud father of two daughters and husband too.  The only people that call him tommy are me and my family.

Too much time here.  As some or many of you might know, I drink copious amounts of coffee.  I am going to go cold turkry, quitting, this month.  I am giving it up for three (3) days.  February 29, 30 and 31.

Dorica, or do you still use Dori, Dory?

Nice berg that Ketchican.  Been there 3 times.  Thought I'd gone to the wrong place.  The sun was shining 2 out of the 3 times.  We only get 80 to 95 inches of rain a year in Hoodsport and a touch of snow.  Bragging or complaining?  Not sure.

Hi John,  it was Dori in high school and college.  Somewhere along the line here in Ketchikan, there was someone else in our church going by Dory (her name was actually Dora).  I had never had to share my name using Dorica.  People I've know for a long time still call me Dori though.  Still in Ketchikan where we average 140-160 inches of rain a year.  Nice for you that you were here on good days.  If you get up this way again, let me know.

that goes for anyone.  If I'm available, I like to show people around

Don't know if it's possible to edit a post.  Part of that should have been that I wasn't used to sharing my name so I started using Dorica

Once again, I am a little confused.  Where might I open an account for my daylight savings?  One of the big national banks, credit union or the Intergalactic Solarium Mutual Savings?  Thus far I have been swooping it up with my butterfly net and tucking it under the mattress, but it seems to be gone by morning.  Not a shadow of it left.  Is that because of those early dawn tariffs?

Don't know about the rest of you.  I started with nothing and have struggled to keep most of it.

Humor comes and humor goes but in my case it is out of control..............ouch

OK, yeah, sometimes I too wish I had a clone, or clown, or doppelgrainger. It may have no bearing, or baring, on your specific musings, but be aware of pending legal action: Hanes is suing Fruit O' The Loin; legal eagles have scheduled a confab and will be comparing briefs. The discovery process will also be covered, then uncovered as the itinerary demands. (Sorry, I felt it incumbent upon myself for this PSA, but I tried to be brief. Dang it, there I go again...)

I would guess the year is a typo, and I knew her as Nancy Wood, but this just popped up on the radar:

On April 2,2026 my mom, Nancy June Feldmann, was released from earthly body and mind to be at peace once more. The last twelve years she was burdened with dementia, memory loss, disorientatation, and the isolation that inevitably happens when you don't remember all the social connection you formed over the last seven plus decades of life. She was surrounded by family and comfortable as possible when she passed. She was deeply loved and cared for until the bitter end.

There's more on FB...

RIP Nancy
