| Comments: | First went to UCSB, then UW, graduated in 73 in "Recreation Planning & Mgmt". (Member of UW womens crew team as was my grandmother in 1915). Really did nothing with the major as a job... but continue to enjoy outdoor recreation. Worked at many jobs for a few years, joined a spiritual movement and began a meditation practice and course of study that has lasted over 30 years now. Became a teacher of meditation at a 6 month course while living in Germany, France, & Switzerland. 1975 LIved in Santa Monica, Monterrey, Carmel, & Stockton, CA while working as a: dental assistant, admin asst, waittress, and flight attendant (Golden Gate Airlines, long ago bankrupt). Took more courses in meditation while living in Washington, DC., then back to LA. Moved to Fairfield, IA to be a part of a growing spiritual community. Worked as: travel agent, child care teacher, and then spent a summer teaching meditation in Manhattan, NY. Attended a graduate program in Business Admin for a year and met my husband while doing work study. Married in 84, (and divorced in 06). 22 years. Had my two kids and loved being a mom at home. Worked many part-time jobs during that time as well. In 2000 went to school and became a Massage Therapist. A few years later went to another school and studied accounting. Worked recently in the bookkeeping and accounting field. 2004 - 2008 - My son just started college at Iowa State University. My daughter is a high school soph. Looking where to live next as it feels this Iowa chapter of my life is nearing completion..... 2009 - ????? |
