Once again, John MacLeod brings us word of the death of a classmate.

LONG BEACH — Leroy Henry Huffman passed away on May 3, 2017. He was born on Jan. 1,1950, in Seattle, Washington to Richard and Jacqueline Huffman, and his sister, Judi (brother Danny came two and one-half years later).

He grew up in Seattle, went to school and worked in the area until 2009 when he moved to Long Beach to be near his sister and brother-in-law. He worked for the City of Long Beach then until his retirement in 2013.

His hobbies were steelhead fishing, hunting, mushroom picking, mostly anything that involved the outdoors.

He is survived by his sister Judi, brother Danny, and brother-in-law Bill. He has two sons, Richard and Joe, and four grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life and open house at his sister and brother-in-laws’ home at 207 N 6th St in Long Beach, between 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Saturday June 24. If you knew Lee please join us in this gathering in remembrance of him.
